Founders

Equitable Growth Solutions is a San Francisco Small Business Consulting company, founded in 2013 by Trey and Gabriela Sapp.

 Trey oversees all aspects of the company’s business development, marketing and sales. Trey has been in the financial services sector for over a decade, and holds a degree in Corporate Finance from UC Berkeley.  Trey has also been an Option Trader, and has developed financial models based on portfolio alpha analysis, construction with value at risk, and alternative hedging options.

Gabriela has an extensive background in commercial real estate and small business lending, economic development, and business consulting. Besides working for financial institutions and other private and government organizations, Gabriela was self-employed for over 8 years as a commercial loan broker, so she understands all the challenges small businesses have in generating and growing revenue. 

Gabriela was recently the Associate Director and Lead Business Advisor for the SF Small Business Development Center.  During her 4 year tenure, she provided advice in financial management and access to capital to about 400 small business owners, 40% of them obtained about $7 million in loans and about 300 jobs were created. In 2012, Gabriela received the NorCal SBDC Regional Network  Award for Excellence in Economic Impact Performance.  In 2013, she became a member of the NorCal SBDC Million Dollar Club for surpassing her loan goals.

Gabriela is currently the lead consultant for BizFit SF and Healthy RetailSF, economic development programs for the Office of Economic and Workforce Development at the City of San Francisco.

Gabriela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from University of Lima in Peru, and a Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
